Welcome and thank you for your interest in Cowley Sixth Form College.
Cowley is a special place. Every year, we welcome students into the Sixth Form from many schools across St Helens and further afield. We pride ourselves on the support offered to every individual that joins Cowley and truly believe that every one of our students has an amazing potential to succeed.
Cowley is a larger than average Sixth Form which means we offer a wide portfolio of courses to our students. This ranges from traditional A-levels to vocational qualifications and career-based courses. Whatever your decision, you can guarantee that you will be taught by experts in the subject who are willing to go that extra mile to ensure that you achieve your true potential.

🌍✈️ An unforgettable experience!
You may remember that three of our Y12 MFL students recently undertook a week of work experience abroad in France.
Here's an account from one of the students:
"I loved every second of it. There were only 7 of us in the group in total, 3 from Cowley, so we all clicked really quickly.
"We all got to stay with a French family, and mine was with 2 of the other students. Our family were so kind that they even invited us back! The family had 7 kids, the mother, and the father. However, we only met two, plus a foreign student (who still spoke fluent French) studying at the local university.
"They are still in contact with us, especially because they're similar ages to us, between 17 to 20. It's so beneficial to have contact with real French people, which will be perfect for practicing French.
"In terms of the work experience, my work experience was in Human Resources in a hospital. The other students were working in bars, restaurants, and hotels.
"It was so interesting to hear and understand the difference between language used in a workplace setting compared to an informal, family setting.
"This is exactly why I love studying French at Cowley Sixth Form because in what other lesson do you get to do this?"
